Itinerary
Day 1: Get to Delhi
Indira Gandhi International Airport: Upon your arrival in Delhi, a
representative will greet you and transport you to your lodging.
After your flight, unwind for the remainder of the day. Depending on when you get there,
you can either relax in your hotel or take a walk around the local areas.
Day 2: All-Day Sightseeing in Delhi
Red Fort: Start your day by taking a tour of this famous 17th-century fort,
which symbolizes India's illustrious past. Emperor Shah Jahan built this red-sandstone
UNESCO World Heritage Site.
One of the largest mosques in India, Jama Masjid, was also constructed by Shah Jahan.
Its large courtyard may accommodate up to 25,000 worshippers.
Chandani Chowk: Take a rickshaw ride to the bustling Chandni Chowk market, which is a
fantastic spot for shopping and street cuisine.
Raj Ghat: Visit the Mahatma Gandhi memorial, the site of his last rites.
India Gate: This war memorial honors Indian soldiers who died during World War I.
Visit Parliament House and the majestic Rashtrapati Bhavan while in New Delhi.
Qutub Minar: At 73 meters, Qutub Minar is the world's tallest brick minaret and a UNESCO
World Heritage Site.
Another UNESCO site is Humayun's Tomb, a 16th-century Mughal garden tomb that is
regarded as the Taj Mahal's precursor.
Day 3: Take a five- to six-hour drive from Delhi to Jaipur.
Departure from Delhi: After breakfast, begin your scenic drive to Jaipur,
the capital of Rajasthan and known as the "Pink City."
When you arrive in Jaipur, proceed to your hotel to register. You can spend the rest of
the evening alone.
It is optional to spend the evening at Chokhi Dhani, an ethnic village resort that
showcases Rajasthani culture with traditional music, food, and folk dances.
Day 04: Jaipur All-Day Tour
Amber Fort: Begin your day by taking a tour of this stunning hilltop fort,
which blends Hindu and Mughal architectural features. Take an elephant ride or a jeep to
the fort. Explore the lavish rooms within, including the Sheesh Mahal (Hall of Mirrors).
Hawa Mahal: Also called the "Palace of Winds," this ornate honeycomb building was
designed to enable royal women to surreptitiously observe street festivities.
City Palace: An impressive complex of structures, courtyards, and gardens that is still
partially utilized as a royal residence.
Jantar Mantar: An 18th-century astronomical observatory, Jantar Mantar is the largest
stone sundial in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Visit Jaipur's local bazaar to find handicrafts, jewelry, and vibrant textiles
Day 5: Travel from Jaipur to Agra, which takes roughly five to six hours
After breakfast, depart Jaipur and go to Agra.
In the process, stop at Abhaneri for a rest and visit Chand Baori, one of India's most
beautiful stepwells. It is a 9th-century structure with intricate sculptures and over
3,500 stairs that descend into the ground.
Once you arrive in Agra, settle into your lodging. In the evening, there is free time.
Day 6: Agra All-Day Sightseeing
Taj Mahal: Go there at dawn to enjoy the beauty of the magnificent monument
in the soft morning light. Emperor Shah Jahan built this white marble tomb in honor of
his wife, Mumtaz Mahal, and it is listed as one of the Seven Wonders of the World
(UNESCO).
Explore the majestic Agra Fort, a red sandstone stronghold built by the Mughals that is
home to spectacular palaces, mosques, and gardens. It is recognized as a UNESCO World
Heritage Site.
The magnificent Mughal mausoleum known as the "Jewel Box" due to its intricate design
and remarkable resemblance to the Taj Mahal is known as the Itmad-ud-Daulah (Baby Taj).
Optional: Visit the garden complex Mehtab Bagh at sunset to see breath-taking vistas of
the Taj Mahal from across the Yamuna River.
Day 7: Train travel via Orchha and Khajuraho from Agra to Jhansi
Take an early train from Agra to Jhansi in the morning (about 2.5 hours).
Orchha Fort Complex: How to Get There Explore this tranquil town's historical sites,
including the Raj Mahal, Jahangir Mahal, and Ram Raja Temple.
Drive to Khajuraho: Continue your journey, which should take four to five hours, to
Khajuraho.
Once you've reached Khajuraho, settle into your lodging and relax.
Day 8: Explore the Khajuraho Temples and Enjoy the Light and Sound Show
Temple Group in the West: Explore these temples first thing in the morning.
UNESCO has designated them as World Heritage sites, and they are famous for their
elaborate carvings and erotic sculptures that depict everyday life, love, and mythology.
Visit the Kandariya Mahadeva Temple, the biggest and most ornate of the group.
Explore the Jain temples that are members of the Eastern Group of Temples, such as the
Parsvanath Temple.
Enjoy the Light & Sound Show at the temple complex, which narrates the history and
significance of Khajuraho.
Day 9: Take a seven- to eight-hour road trip from Khajuraho to Varanasi.
Start your tour by driving to Varanasi, a holy city in Hinduism known
for its ancient traditions and spiritual significance.
Once you reach Varanasi, take a seat in your lodging after the long travel.
Day 10: Discover Varanasi
Ganges River Boat Trip: Begin your day with a boat trip on the
revered Ganges River in the morning. Witness the local devotees' rituals and
the cremation ghats, where Hinduism blends life and death.
The Kashi Vishwanath Temple is one of the most revered Hindu temples
dedicated to Lord Shiva.
Explore the Old City Discover the narrow lanes of Varanasi, which are lined
with temples, little shops, and a lot of bustle.
Visit Sarnath, where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon after becoming
enlightened. Visit the Dhamek Stupa and the Sarnath Museum.
See the Ganga Aarti, a spectacular religious ceremony that takes place daily
and features chanting, illumination, and offerings to the river, at the
Dashashwamedh Ghat.
Day 11: Departure flight from Varanasi to Delhi
Fly early in the morning from Varanasi to Delhi.
Arrival in Delhi: How much time you have in Delhi for leisure or
last-minute shopping depends on when your flight is scheduled.
Airport Transfer: To leave, head to Indira Gandhi International Airport.
